Hailing from the beautiful 26 mile sandbar known as Topsail Island, North Carolina, David Mercer has been doodling for as long as he can remember but really started creating after a kiteboarding accident in June 2014. The compound fracture to his leg forced him to slow down. Art became his therapy while recovering and he has since been slowly finding his style through trial and error. Everything inspires him to draw but he always circles back to nature, more importantly, the Ocean.
